There are a lot of things which can be classed as gambling.
Some games even have gambling elements – for example, skin betting is present in a number of online games.
Some of the risks, dangers and side effects associated with online gambling include losing large sums of money, accruing debts, poor performance at school, or even becoming more vulnerable to depression, anxiety and stress.
That's why it's important that trusted adults try to educate children and young people about what online gambling is, what forms it can take and how they can respond if they feel like a child or young person might be at risk of developing an unhealthy habit.
